Titonian Wallace, Sr. steps up as the first Black Chair in the Chamber’s long history
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce announces Titonian Wallace, Sr. as the new Chair of the Board of Directors, effective May 1, 2024. As the first Black leader in this role in the organization’s 129-year history, Mr. Wallace brings a wealth of expertise and a visionary approach to the position.
Wallace takes over the role following the departure of Elizabeth Case, who stepped down from the Board to pursue a seat on the Hillsboro City Council.
A seasoned digital marketing expert, Wallace is the founder of Nesace Media, a top-tier agency known for leveraging analytics to enhance business presence online. His expertise spans SEO, PPC, social media marketing and management, and branding, all aimed at helping businesses achieve a comprehensive omni-channel presence.
Before founding Nesace Media, Wallace owned an entertainment company and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media, with a minor in Sociology, later augmenting his skills with a Certificate of Marketing. His educational journey, coupled with his professional experience, led him to pivot to a more sustainable business model, focusing on digital marketing solutions.
In addition to his professional achievements, Wallace has been an active participant in community initiatives. He is the founding member and past chair of the Washington County Chamber Black Advisory Business Council and spearheaded the establishment of the Black Advisory Business Council Scholarship Fund. This fund, close to his heart, supports Black seniors in the Hillsboro School District pursuing educational or vocational dreams, inspired by his own path and the belief that success does not follow a uniform route.
“I am deeply honored and excited to step into the role of Chair of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,” said Wallace. “This position presents a unique opportunity to further enhance our business community’s vitality and inclusiveness. I am committed to leveraging my expertise and my passion for community service to help our Chamber continue to thrive and to ensure that our initiatives are as diverse and dynamic as the businesses we serve. I look forward to working with the Board to benefit the businesses in our community.”
“We are thrilled to have Titonian lead our board,” said Deanna Palm, President and CEO of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. “His unique professional background, combined with his commitment to community and business growth, will undoubtedly propel our organization forward.”
In his new role as Chair, Wallace aims to further the Chamber’s mission of promoting sustainable economic growth while fostering inclusivity. “I look forward to implementing innovative solutions that support our local businesses and uphold our values of diversity and equality,” Wallace added.
