Our Diversity Councils are a testament to the Chamber’s commitment to ensuring that every voice is heard and every community is represented within our Chamber leadership. The five Diversity Councils are the Asian/Pacific Islander Business Advisory Council, the Black Advisory Business Council, the Latino Business Advisory Council, the LGBTQ+ Business Advisory Council, and the Veterans Business Advisory Council.

Sponsored Memberships

Small, diverse businesses based in Washington County can apply for a one-year membership sponsored by our generous Diversity Council membership sponsors to join the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. Since Councils are only open to Washington County Chamber members, this is an excellent way for small businesses to gain access to Council participation and benefit from Washington County Chamber membership.

Sponsorship includes a 50% reduction in annual dues for new members, and the $35 application fee is also waived.

Learn More About Our Five Diversity Councils

The Asian/Pacific Islander Business Advisory Council seeks to promote the economic prosperity of these communities by encouraging the growth of API entrepreneurship, advocating for the success of API businesses and professionals, and supporting community engagement with these diverse groups* throughout Washington County.

The Black Advisory Business Council is a culturally specific council working to inspire, empower, and promote the economic growth and sustainability of black businesses and professionals within Washington County.

The Latino Business Advisory Council (LBAC) represents small Latino businesses in the greater Hillsboro area as an advisory committee through outreach, education, marketing, and advocacy. LBAC is a leadership body made of Latino businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders who are committed to providing exceptional resources to Latino businesses in order to promote the benefits of Hillsboro’s diverse culture and economy.

The mission of the Washington County Chamber LGBTQ+ Business Advisory Council is to create business development, employment, and leadership opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community. We seek to foster a more inclusive and vibrant economy in Washington County.

The Veterans Business Council was established to empower and connect Washington County Veteran business owners and workforce to relevant community-wide relationships through leadership, professional development, collaboration, and engagement.
