Dear Chamber Members,
As spring unfolds across Washington County, I hope the season brings a sense of momentum and possibility to you and your business. While many continue to navigate a dynamic and evolving economic landscape, spring remains a time of renewal—and the Chamber is embracing this spirit with a focus on resilience, connection, and forward progress.
After many years of serving this incredible community, I want to share that the Washington County Chamber has officially begun the search for its next President and CEO. To ensure a comprehensive and thoughtful process, our Board of Directors has partnered with Motus Recruiting and Staffing, an award-winning executive search firm based in Tigard, Oregon. Their expertise will be instrumental in helping us find a leader who aligns with our mission and values.
Even as we prepare for this next chapter, our work on behalf of the business community remains as focused as ever. We are actively engaged in advocacy efforts at the local and state levels—tracking key legislation, representing your interests in public policy discussions, and speaking up for the needs of businesses throughout Washington County. Whether it’s supporting economic development, housing, or infrastructure investments, the Chamber continues to be a strong and steady voice for our members.
Event season is upon us, and we’re proud to offer a lineup of signature events that elevate and celebrate the community we serve. On May 22, we’ll host the first-ever InRoads Credit Union Latino Business Summit, a fully Spanish-language conference created to serve Latino business owners and professionals. One month later, on June 22, we invite you to the 19th Annual Unitus Community Credit Union Latino Cultural Festival, hosted by the Hillsboro Hops. And on June 14, we’ll gather at Jerry Willey Plaza for the Washington County Juneteenth Celebration. These events are designed to bring our community together and honor the rich diversity that defines us. Vendor booths are available for both the Juneteenth Celebration and the Latino Cultural Festival, and we currently have a limited number of sponsorship opportunities for all three events.
As always, thank you for your continued support and engagement. This is a vibrant and resilient business community, and it’s a privilege to serve alongside you.
Warmly,
Deanna Palm
