Welcome to the inaugural edition of Insight and Influence, Washington County Chamber’s new monthly newsletter! Our goal is to provide you with valuable insights into the issues shaping our business community while equipping you with opportunities to influence the conversations that matter. Look for this newsletter in your inbox around the tenth of each month, featuring key updates, ways to engage, and news relevant to our members.

February is a month full of opportunity, and we are kicking off with a strong focus on advocacy. With the Oregon State Legislature in a long session, we are laser-focused on ensuring that your business interests are heard. We hope you can join us for Chamber Day at the Capitol on Thursday, March 13, where we will provide transportation and schedule meetings in Salem so that we can collectively share how our elected officials can best support our business community. Registration is now open R.S.V.P. now to reserve your spot! Space is limited and is available on a first come, first serve basis.

We also encourage you to explore sponsorship opportunities, which allow members to amplify their voices and expand their impact within the business community. Whether through advocacy, networking, highly visible ads on our website, or sponsoring events, your Chamber membership is a powerful platform to engage and lead. View opportunities here.

This month, we proudly celebrate Black History Month with spotlights on outstanding Black-owned businesses from our Black Advisory Business Council on our social media channels. We also invite you to join us on February 25 for our annual Black Excellence Discussion Panel, “The Entrepreneurial Pivot: Starting Up and Standing Out,” an inspiring conversation about how pivotal moments shape personal and professional success.

Additionally, our Washington County Asian Pacific Islander Business Advisory Council is celebrating Lunar New Year with Lunar New Year Bites of API on Wednesday, February 19. This special event will feature delicious bites from local API-owned businesses, refreshing beverages, and vibrant entertainment, all in celebration of the Year of the Green Snake.

At the Chamber, we believe that knowledge empowers action, and connection drives impact. Through Insight and Influence, we look forward to keeping you engaged, informed, and connected to the opportunities that shape our community. Thank you for being part of this dynamic network—we can’t wait to see how you leverage your voice and influence in the months ahead!

Warmest regards,
